A Sketch of Genesis

If we want to know the Bible, we must know the book of Genesis, for as the first book of the Bible, it lays the base for what will follow in all the rest. It begins with the creation itself, and then shows us man’s fall, God’s promised redemption, His calling, and His dealing with those who would answer His call to become His chosen people. In A Sketch of Genesis, Titus Chu deals with these crucial matters, and others as well, from the standpoint of our Christian experience of the growth in life. May the Lord bless this book, to help His children gain the profit that we should from the book of Genesis, and to lead us all into a deeper understanding of the process of our growth in life.

Elijah & Elisha: Living for God’s Testimony

Elijah and Elisha were two of the greatest prophets in the Old Testament. Their lives included many extraordinary events, such as the contest between Elijah and the prophets of Baal at Mount Carmel. They also performed a number of notable miracles, including raising people from the dead, calling down fire from heaven, and dividing the waters of the Jordan. At the same time, we can see in their lives many ways in which the Lord
worked with them, causing them to grow in their relationship with Him and training them for their service unto Him.

Thus, while we may never have such dramatic experiences as they did, we can still draw from their lives many valuable lessons for our own Christian life and service. In this completely revised edition of Elijah & Elisha, Titus Chu considers these lessons and applies them for us today.

Joshua: A Life of Service

Enlarge this CoverView the entire book as a PDF file This book draws lessons for us today from the life of Joshua, the one whom the Lord used to bring the children of Israel into the good land.

At the end of his life, Joshua declared, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!” (Joshua 24:15). He said this as someone who had the spiritual experience to support such a statement. From his youth, when he began to accompany Moses, through the time when he led the children of Israel to take possession of the good land, he had so many years’ experience of learning what serving the Lord meant.

Oneness & the One Accord

The book of Philippians is perhaps the sweetest book in the New Testament. Its focus is not so much on teaching, but on how we as believers can enter into the experience of Christ. In this exposition of Philippians, Brother Titus goes through the four chapters of this book in a detailed and very practical way.

Ruth: Growth unto Maturity

The Reality of the Divine Stream

Enlarge this Cover From the beginning to the end of the Bible we can see a stream flowing out the riches and blessing of God (cf. Gen 2:10-14, Psalm 36:8-9, John 7:37-39, Rev. 22:1). For us to know God Himself and His work, and to be in the experience of His life, we must touch the flowing of this stream.

Two Manners of Life

In this brief study of Genesis 4 and 5, Titus Chu draws a number of lessons for our Christian life from the history of the men and events these two chapters describe.

This section of the Bible gives us the history of Adam and Eve’s descendents from the birth of Cain until the time of Noah. It may not be so familiar to us as Genesis 1-3, but it is nonetheless quite crucial, for it shows us the origins and early development of the human race as it exists today. In so doing, it also gives us many valuable lessons regarding how we should relate to the world in which we live.
